Jamey Chadwell Emerges as Key Figure in UCF Coaching Search
There was plenty of discussion in regard to Scott Frost potentially being named as the new UCF head coach.
BetOnline on Tuesday listed Frost as the favorite to land the UFC Knights coaching job.
Frost previously served as head coach of UCF, where he orchestrated a complete turnaround of a program that went 0-12 the season prior. He won six games in 2016, taking the Knights to the 2016 Cure Bowl, where they lost to Arkansas State.
In 2017, the Knights stormed through the regular season, finishing 11–0. They won the AAC championship game and Frost would go on to lead the Knights into the 2018 Peach Bowl, the school's second-ever appearance in a major bowl.
The UCF vacancy came as Gus Malzahn left for the offensive coordinator post at Florida State.
UCF and the school's athletics director, Terry Mohajir, are focusing heavily on Liberty coach Jamey Chadwell, multiple sources tell FootballScoop.
An East Tennessee native, Chadwell's been a proven winner at four difference NCAA coaching stops. He's posted seasons of 10 or more wins at NCAA Division II program North Greenville, FCS program Charleston Southern and FBS schools Coastal Carolina and Liberty.
In the past two years at Liberty, where he replaced Hugh Freeze, Chadwell guided the Flames to 21 wins, including a 13-0 run before a bowl loss in 2023.
The payout should Chadwell be selected is $4000 for every $100 bet at BetOnline.

Doug Pederson Next NFL Head Coach Favored to Be Fired
We’ve already seen three NFL head coaches fired during this season (Robert Saleh, Dennis Allen and Matt Eberflus).
There’s a good chance five to seven more get fired before the start of the 2025 season. The next question is will we see another in-season coach firing in 2024?
The oddsmakers at BetOnline.ag have re-opened lines for the next NFL coach fired and Dougie P is once again the favorite.
He’s followed by former coach of the year, Brian Daboll and then two first year coaches, Antonio Pierce and Jerod Mayo.
Firing a first-year head coach used to be very rare. From 1980 to 2010, it happened only 12 times. In the preceding 14 years, it has also happened 12 times.
Firing a first-year head coach in season used to be ultra rare. Now it has happened in three successive seasons with Urban Meyer, Nathaniel Hackett and Frank Reich.

BetOnline Did Not Have South Korea Leader Among Odds for First to Leave
BetOnline currently lists the next world leader to step down or be ousted with Benjamin Netanyahu the favorite. Ukraine's president Volodomyr Zelenskyy came in with the second shortest odds.
Of note, Vladimir Putin at one time topped the list but currently pays 25-1 odds.
South Korea’s President Yoon Suk Yeo was apparently never on the radar and most certainly won't be listed now as calls for his impeachment grow louder. Yeo had imposed a short-lived and seemingly out of nowhere martial law this week, betting markets do not see his ouster coming by month's end.
Here are your current odds:
Benjamin Netanyahu +225
Volodomyr Zelenskyy +325
Emmanuel Macron +375
Lula Da Silva +600
Alexsandr Lukashenko +800
Donald Trump +1600
Recep Tayyip Erdogan +1600
Vladimir Putin +2500
Xavier Milei +2500
Keir Starmer +2800
